Product Overview

This group lesson is available for the following students:

  • Students 9yrs+ or who have completed Level III Musikgarten Piano class and wish to continue their studies
  • Students 7yrs+ currently enrolled in a Musikgarten Piano Level II class and need extra help or enrichment
  • External students 10yrs and older
  • Returning Piano Students

Socio-Emotional Benefits: Unlike a typical school setting, being in a small group session with an instructor with a keen ear to hear every detail, guarantees individual attention. Since music is an aural art and usually a unique social experience, students of similar levels can work at their own pace alongside each other as well as encourage or become motivated by others at different levels. Students around the same age often become friends and enjoy making music together. With occasional ensemble activities in the sessions, students bond like musicians in a band over time, and when it's time to perform on stage, they understand even better how to communicate musically with each other.

Musical Goals: Gain proper technique by combining the classical and contemporary skills to become a truly versatile keyboardist. You'll not only learn how to interpret a music score but more importantly how to hear musically aided by the use of technology.

Required: All students must have a keyboard/piano (acoustic or digital) at home on which they can practise.  An interview with the instructor to assess readiness, goals and learning style usually takes place prior to the first lesson.
