Class Policies
This is a quick reference guide. Our comprehensive policies, which you agree to upon enrolment, are available via the link below.
Membership Tiers and Commitment
Our programme is structured for consistent, measurable development. Memberships operate on fixed-term commitments, not pay-as-you-go.
Introductory Experiences
A non-refundable admin fee applies to all introductory experiences. A Parent Education Masterclass is required before all introductory sessions.
- Ramajay (In-Person): Two sessions. TT$400. Covers the MusicVersity Placement Fee for families who proceed to Standard membership within the same semester.
- Oye (Live Online): One free preview session.
- Lingolay (In-Person): One free preview session. Admin fee waived during special offer periods.
Membership Fees and Payment
TT$400 for Standard In-Person families. US$64 for Standard Online families. Paid once. No further admin fees for consecutive renewals.
Waived for families confirming by August 7, 2026.
- Pay in Full: Full semester or year payment due at checkout.
- Split Payment (Standard): TT$1,500 now, TT$1,000 due October 28, 2026.
- Bi-monthly Instalments (Premium): TT$1,000 / US$160 on the 28th of every second month across six payments.
- Credit card payments via PayPal (USD).
- Local bank transfer via online banking (TTD).
- Families who select credit card for split payments must complete all payments via PayPal invoice.
Learning Resources
All Standard and Premium memberships include a MusicVersity Packet and course-appropriate Musikgarten materials each semester. Resources are specific to your child's course level.
- All members have access to the MusicVersity E-learning Hub with multilingual resources.
- Versatile Musicians also receive WhatsApp practice feedback from their Specialist, classroom instruments where applicable, and additional rehearsals ahead of recitals where needed.

Refunds, Withdrawals and Credits
- The admin fee applicable to the Ramajay introductory package is non-refundable.
- Membership withdrawal: 80% of the semester payment refunded only if written notice is received at least 14 days before the semester start date.
- No refunds once a semester begins. The committed balance remains due.
- Credits may be offered in genuinely extenuating circumstances at the discretion of Alabanza Music.
- Missed classes are non-refundable. Members should use flexible attendance options where available.
The MusicVersity Year and Graduation
The MusicVersity Year runs from September 2026 to July 2027 across three semesters: Parrandero, Calypso and Iere.
Classes and Scheduling
- Classes are scheduled weekly throughout the semester.
- The MusicVersity Year comprises three semesters: Parrandero (September to December), Calypso (January to April) and Iere (May to July), each running across approximately 12 calendar weeks.
- All programme dates are confirmed each semester and any updates are communicated directly to enrolled families.
- Virtual classes are fully online for Live Online and On-Demand members.
Rescheduling and Class Adjustments
In situations where Alabanza Music is unable to deliver scheduled in-person classes, whether due to individual circumstances or broader disruptions such as public health measures, we will transition all affected classes to live online delivery to ensure continuity. Where live online delivery is not possible, sessions will be rescheduled. A credit will be applied only where neither option can be fulfilled. Your child's learning will not stop.
Online Class Requirements
- A stable internet connection and device are required.
- Parent supervision is required for all children under age 10.
- No recording or sharing of sessions without written consent from Alabanza Music.
Communications
- WhatsApp is the primary channel for updates, confirmations and direct communication.
- Email is used for newsletters, announcements and special messages.
- Order confirmations and payment instructions are sent automatically by email upon checkout.
Attendance
A Parent Education Masterclass is required for all new members. Punctuality is encouraged. Please notify us if you will be absent.
- Live Online members: Weekly as per course schedule.
- Standard In-Person members: Unlimited live online attendance.
- Premium members: Unlimited online attendance for the year and full access to the on-demand option with recorded sessions.
Requests for online attendance must be submitted at least 2 hours before class. Last-minute requests cannot be guaranteed. The Zoom link is available in the class group description. Recordings may be provided when live attendance is not possible.
Preparation, Behaviour and Etiquette
- Come prepared and appropriately dressed.
- No phones on your person in the class space except by the instructor and assistant.
- No unauthorised photos, videos or disruptions.
- Respect peers, instructors and classroom guidelines.
Health and Safety
- Wash hands before class.
- No shoes, strong perfumes, toys, food or other potential distractions in sessions.
- Children who are unwell must remain at home but may use the online attendance option.
- Parents and guardians are directly responsible for their child's safety, behaviour and wellbeing at all times while in class and on the compound. Please respect the space and all others present.
- Alabanza Music does not accept responsibility for accidents, injury or loss occurring during sessions or on the compound.
Privacy, Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
- Share or distribute class recordings, Musikgarten materials, digital resources or internal content with non-members.
- Record or photograph classes without permission.
- Share private group information, schedules or internal communication externally.
- Never share personal information unnecessarily.
- Avoid using children's full names publicly without explicit consent.
- Secure all digital class content and communication channels.
Families may share official photos and videos distributed by Alabanza Music.
Responsibility and Liability
Our programmes with children require parental presence and supervision. Parents and guardians retain full responsibility for their child's safety and behaviour at all times, including at the university compound or other class and event locations. Alabanza Music is not liable for injury, loss or damages incurred during participation. Enrolment signifies agreement to indemnify Alabanza Music against related claims.
Media and Photography Consent
Enrolment grants consent for Alabanza Music to capture and use photographs, audio and video from classes and events for promotional and educational purposes. Names or class specifics will not be used without explicit consent. Media consent preferences are confirmed at checkout.
