A child's brain on music
Learning a musical instrument and foundation music education skills — such as clapping in time, singing in tune and moving to music — are some of the most complex cognitive activities the brain can undertake. They involve the auditory, motor and visual cortices communicating at an astonishingly fast rate ...
language development, executive skills and social skills development.
(Music Education Helps Children's Ability to Learn by Dr. Anita Collins, Neuromusical Educator, 2018)
Why does age or developmental level matter in music class?
Every age group presents unique characteristics, whether it's vocal ability and communication, motor skills and instrument safety, or socio-emotional aptitude including attention span.
Our International MusikGarten® programme
Through our research-based curriculum, each class is specifically tailored to enhance children's enjoyment of activities while addressing their specific developmental milestones.
Caregivers play an important role
Children's innate musicality can be developed once parents understand the pivotal role they play, then provide the environment in which their children can be successful.
