Meet the Visionary behind Alabanza Music
Lisa Darmanie de Quiñones, our founder, is Trinidad & Tobago’s only certified Early Childhood Music & Movement Specialist, neuromusical educator, and multilingual advocate. With a dual background in Music and Spanish and over 20 years of experience teaching, conducting, arranging, and adjudicating at national music competitions, Ms. Lisa brings academic depth, professional recognition, and cultural fluency.
Her expertise is sought after by schools, and cultural organizations — but her greatest mission is supporting families. As a mom raising her heart-warrior son in a Trini-Venezuelan home, Ms. Lisa pairs cutting-edge neuroscience (neuromusicology, neurolinguistics) with the realities of parenting to create experiences that display a deep care for children's growth.

According to science, there's no other activity which stimulates the brain more than music. Yet somehow it still keeps getting mislabelled as extracurricular or non-academic, despite its integral role in the education and development of children— even in Ancient Greek civilizations!
Here are 3 reasons why music is a big win for your family!
1) Music is an essential part of our human existance; from the comforting rhythm of mom's heartbeat in the womb, to the melodies that get stuck in our head for decades, it's everywhere! Not even a global shutdown stopped the music.
2) Music gives you life-long skills with daily opportunities for fulfillment and enjoyment anywhere, anytime!
3) Music is a survival tool to help you successfully navigate life's vast ocean of experiences and having deeper knowledge and early application of it's immense power will supercharge your child's development.
