Enrolment Terms & Registration
Policies and Terms & Conditions Agreement:
Whenever a student-family registers online on our website via the Class Product which is our Online Registration Form, a clickable link to our policies is displayed at the top of the registration form section and clickable link to our website's terms and conditions is displayed at checkout.
All enrolled student-families agree to our policies and terms and conditions by checking the relevant boxes before checkout for their class. Printed copies can be made available for signing.
Enrolment terms: When you register for a class, you are committing to the full course duration/Semester/Year according to the age-group/class; there is no pay-as-you-go. This is to preserve the educational value of the program for your family’s benefit.
Introductory sessions are available for families wishing to try out a class before committing to the Semester.
Breakdown of fees for enrolment
Registration: An Administrative fee of $100 is applicable for each Semester Registration.
This fee is included in Introductory Packages and is transferrable to Semester Registration within 3 weeks of attendance.
Continuing families have this fee waived during Early Registration.
Tuition: As outlined for the Semester/Course
Required Materials: As outlined for the Course/Semester
Required Instruments: As outlined for the Course/Level. Rental options available for class use.
Payment Terms & Refund Policy
You book our services and purchase materials via our website by Online Checkout.
Accepted Payment Methods:
Bank Online Transfer with exceptions. Debit Card and Credit Card with service charge applicable via WiPay and Cash via WiPay Top Up Voucher.
E-Invoices are automatically generated when you checkout online and the booking/purchase is only confirmed upon payment. Invoices are updated with payment submitted once verified/processed.
Full Payment is due forthwith upon completion of class order after checkout.
Part-Payments (deposit and balance / monthly) are facilitated as per our Payment schedule and consenting to payment agreement via our website checkout.
Late fee: Add-on fee of $50 for payments coming in after 7 days past due date.
Materials: Specific materials required for each class and may require at least 15 days to arrive.
Refunds & Credits:
Registration fees are non-refundable.
A student who withdraws 14 days before the start of the Semester/Course is entitled to a partial refund of 80% tuition only.
A student credit may be provided for materials and instruments already purchased provided they are returned in their original packaging and excellent condition.
All refunds and credits are subject to a 20% restocking/admin fee.
Refunds are not applicable to Bank Transfer fees or Credit / Debit Card Service Charges or any other transaction fees.
There will be no credits or reduction in fees for missed classes.
In cases of rescheduling of classes by teacher, tuition refund is applicable or a tuition credit allocated to the student-family provided the change took place after the student enrolled for the class.
In cases of cancellation of classes by teacher, tuition refund is applicable or a tuition credit allocated to the student-family to continue classes in the subsequent Semester.
Class Schedules & Delivery
Classes:
Our two Semesters run September to January and February to June. Semesters are 5 months long with 16-18 sessions and includes required Parent Education session/s, Feedback sessions and Celebration. Classes are usually held once a week. No classes on holidays.
We also offer Vacation classes for Easter and in July-August.
Delivery:
Sessions are offered primarily in-person at our advertised locations. Online/Virtual sessions are facilitated for select classes.
Alabanza Music reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. In cases of inclement weather or other emergency situations, the teacher may opt to conduct the class as a virtual session online or reschedule.
Communications and Attendance
Communications:
Student-families receive important updates via their designated WhatsApp group for their class and directly via WhatsApp. In emergency situations where unreachable via text/email, we will call directly.
Student-families can always reach out to us via text on WhatsApp or regular mobile line or email.
Emails are also sent out with Parent Education Newsletters and upcoming events and offers.
Any personal matters or concerns must be referred directly to administration.
Attendance:
All parents/caregivers are required to attend a Parent Orientation session at the beginning of the Semester in order to proceed with participation in classes.
For classes, we encourage you to be on time. Being present during the first activity or "greeting" affirms your child as a person.
If you know that you'll be missing a class, please notify us as some activities require full class participation. If live stream is available for that class, you can opt to participate online provided we have notice from the day prior.
While fees for missed classes will not be refunded; you may request to attend one make-up class for the same Semester (a same-age class on another day or location) if available, two (2) days beforehand and we will confirm if we could accommodate you.
Conduct and Behaviour
Preparation and Behaviour
Student-families should come prepared for each class, displaying respectful and appropriate and behaviour and dress.
Teachers will set clear expectations and uphold high standards for all participants.
Alabanza Music reserves the right to dismiss students for:
-Disciplinary problems or unmanageable behavior.
- Noncompliance with school policies by parents.
Class Conduct
-Phones must be silenced unless directed for class use.
-No photos or videos are to be taken in class by anyone except the teacher without written consent from the teacher.
-Communication and language must remain polite, respectful, age appropriate and relevant to the session.
-Parents should not attempt to address any behaviour with another student or family independently without first consulting with the teacher
Professionalism and Inclusivity
-The teacher-student relationship remains professional, focusing on music, language or child development.
-No form of discrimination will be tolerated.
-Personal information is treated with confidentiality, and all communication is professional.
Physical Interaction
-Physical contact is limited to instructional needs, with clear explanations and consent required.
-Students are encouraged and expected to respect other students' personal space
-Alabanza Music reserves absolute discretion in approving enrolment or re-enrolment requests.
-Alabanza Music also reserves the right to cancel membership due to behaviour by adult and/or child that is inappropriate such as, but not limited to; engaging in conduct that is continuously disruptive or offensive to other members; or damaging equipment or facilities. No refunds will be issued in such instances.
This is to ensure that all student-families and teachers continue to comfortably enjoy the child-friendly and nurturing environment we provide to diverse families
Instruments & Equipment
Instruments & Equipment:
In Family Music classes, student-families purchase small instruments on enrolment and use available classroom instruments.
In Music Maker classes, a maintenance fee is included in the materials fee for the class.
In Versatile Musician classes, instruments for class use are provided at a rental cost if required but children are expected to have instruments at home to practice.
All Instrument & equipment for class/home use must be approved before purchasing.
Health & Safety Disclaimer
Health & Safety Disclaimer
Alabanza Music strives to provide a safe and hygienic environment for families. We ask that persons entering our classrooms wash their hands/sanitize, remove shoes and socks at the entry, avoid heavily scented perfumes, dress decently and communicate gracefully for positive interaction with other families.
No toys and foodstuff are allowed into the classroom but water/baby bottles are welcome.
Sickness
If your child is ill, please keep your child at home for your child's own safety and the safety of others.
Indemnity:
Alabanza Music is not responsible for any loss or injury incurred while participating in the program. Submission of an Online Registration Order acknowledges that Alabanza Music and the property owner are released from all liability, including, but not limited to liability resulting from anyone’s negligence. Signature or electronic registration also constitutes acknowledgement that the student, parent or caregiver agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Alabanza Music and the property owner from any liability, costs or claims, related either directly or indirectly to participation in an Alabanza Music program, including legal or medical expenses incurred for the participant’s benefit.
Alabanza Music strongly suggests that all individuals take all recommended precautions to protect yourself, your family and others when you visit an Alabanza Music location.
Media Consent - Photography / Recording
Photography / Recording Consent:
By enrolling in classes at Alabanza Music, the student or parent/guardian (for students under 18yrs) authorizes the making and use of any photos, videos or sound recordings during his/her participation in Alabanza Music classes or events for any purpose that Alabanza Music may make or authorize, without compensation to the student or parent/guardian.
To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian. Student-families agree to give media consent by selecting the relevant opt-in button before checkout for their class.
I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand the terms and conditions for the foregoing Alabanza Music Class Policies and that my stduent and I will comply with the same.
