What is JAVA?

The school-break segment that changes everything.

JAVA is the July–August segment of our Iere Semester — a focused, high-energy block of sessions designed to give your child a real developmental advantage before the new school year begins.

Not just "school holiday" activities

Every session is built on Developmentally Appropriate Practice using music, movement and language — the proven, research-backed combination that builds focus, confidence and resilience in children.

Sound before sight

Grounded in Gordon Music Learning Theory — the same principle behind how children naturally acquire language. Your child experiences music the way the brain is wired to learn it: through listening, feeling and doing first.

Multilingual from day one

Every session weaves English, Spanish, French, Patwa and more into the music naturally. Languages learned through music and movement at this age become part of how the brain is wired — not something memorised.

Official Musikgarten® recognition

Complete JAVA and receive an official Certificate of Participation. Complete our full year programme and earn the prestigious Musikgarten® Certificate of Completion — internationally recognised.

Your Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

What age groups is JAVA for?
The weekly Saturday sessions are designed for Little Ones aged 0–7, with a parent or caregiver participating alongside. The Keyboard Level 1 Camp is for children aged 8 and older. Not sure which fits your child? WhatsApp us and we'll guide placement.
Do I need any prior music experience?
None at all. That's the whole point of Developmentally Appropriate Practice — we meet every child exactly where they are. JAVA is designed as a complete, self-contained experience whether your child is brand new to Alabanza Music or continuing from an earlier semester.
What if we miss a session?
We understand life happens. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to miss a session. Our hybrid access means online options may be available for missed in-person sessions depending on the format.
Is the Ramajay intro experience available for all ages and locations?
The Ramajay in-person intro is available at select locations and for specific age groups during the JAVA period. When you apply, we'll confirm availability for your child's age and your preferred location and guide you from there.
How do I pay?
Local T&T families pay via WiPay (debit card in TTD). International families pay via PayPal (USD). Payment details are confirmed when you secure your spot via WhatsApp or the booking form.
Why is the camp limited to 8 students?
Intentionally limited. A small, focused intake is at the heart of what makes Alabanza Music different — more individual attention, stronger communication, and real developmental progress. Once those spots are filled, that's it for JAVA 2026.
What comes after JAVA?
JAVA families are invited to continue into the Parrandero Semester beginning September 12, 2026 — with early registration opening June 11. Families who complete JAVA have first access to Parrandero placements.

The school break is short. Make it count.

Strategic families use these seven weeks wisely. Secure your child's JAVA spot before it's gone — spaces are strictly limited and will not be extended.

All bookings confirmed in advance. Walk-ins and on-the-spot registration are not available.
